Shadow Game documents a dangerous journey to Europe undertaken by children and teenagers from war-torn regions. The stake of the ‘game’, as they have sarcastically dubbed crossing the borders, might be their lives, although quitting will not necessarily protect them from premature death. The young refugees have one goal: to reach Europe, which is free from war, hunger and lawlessness. With time, this ideal image starts to fade and the emotional baggage becomes harder to bear. Still, the young people are filled with hope that they will succeed.
The screenings are organised in cooperation with the international festival WATCH DOCS. Human Rights in Film, the oldest festival of documentary films in Warsaw.
