Tales from the Dark Times

A group of Belarussian artists revisits a now forgotten part of soviet culture: tales on film reels (diafilms) which, in the times of the USSR, people watched collectively in the cosy settings of their homes. ‘Diafilm live’ presents some forgotten tales (Verlyoka, Grandfather Krylov’s Stories, The Stolen Sun, Kolobok and The Ugly Bear) to live music. The new interpretations are juxtaposed with modern reality and various phenomena of social, cultural and political life.
